Get absolute phase ID and angle on entire systems in order to balance load and minimize line loss.  With EDM’s AP30 PhaseTrakker, you can achieve correct phasing for system mapping and ensure that new substation connections are phase correct.  PhaseTrakker works on overhead and underground conductors, and can be used without de-energizing power lines (120V-500kV).

The AP30 uses GPS technology to continuously measure voltage phase angles at both the Field and Reference Units, compares the angles over a phone connection, and displays results on the Field Unit.

For your panel mount needs, you can now purchase the SEL-387E in a vertical panel0mount or rack-mount option.  It’s dimensions are 5.15″x18.0″, and it fits in any standard 3U vertical unit.  The SEL-387E vertical option has the same great two- and three-winding current differential protection and automation features as the regular SEL-387E, but in a new box.  Benefits include: IEC 61850, through-fault recording and monitoring, restricted earth fault (REF) logic, and flexible communications.  Add dual failover Ethernet ports, buil-in web server, additional contact inputs and high-current interrupting output contacts, and conformal coating.

The new SEL-3094 Interface Converter manages older electrical teleprotection interfaces to new optical standards.  The unit links devices with ITU-T G.703, 422, 485, and 232 electrical interfaces to C37.94 fiber-optic devices.  All settings are made with ten control switches and LEDs indicate the state of inputs, outputs, and communications links.  The 64kbps time slot in a digital multiplexer is powered by a universal 18-300Vdc and 85-264Vac Power Supply.

Fiber-optic connections provide isolation from dangerous ground potential rise, prevent induced electrical noise, and eliminate signal ground loops.
